Because if they're going to be filled, it's easier (for me anyway) to start on them first (moreover, if you use white thread, it won't be a problem to jump around with the thread). After that, you can just stitch the big blue sky without needing to count.

Also, I find it easier to count diagonally, followed by horizontally or vertically if the intended/next stitch isn't on diagonal line from your last stitch. My stitch ends either on top left corner or bottom right corner and I start counting diagonally from that corner.

As for the Santa's face, I agree with the others.Ren Renhttp://auberginexs.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785012140702703358.post-77334858539798278002015-08-22T17:29:11.982+02:002015-08-22T17:29:11.982+02:00Hello

If you don't take them out and leave it as it is.
Gridding could help you with the snow flakes. I would just leave the little open spaces for the snow flakes randomly, without looking at the chart.Brigittehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03922122091202289138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785012140702703358.post-6363344263175256362015-08-20T05:54:40.437+02:002015-08-20T05:54:40.437+02:00Agree. It will be interesting to see this one finished, it's a beautiful design:)gominamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17040485640612486906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785012140702703358.post-62919682464060341122015-08-20T00:16:07.740+02:002015-08-20T00:16:07.740+02:00I agree with Heather. Also, I would grid the pattern every 10 stitches both horizontally and vertically so that you have the grid to refer to.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14055013676854650187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7785012140702703358.post-86624567619600447812015-08-19T23:49:49.936+02:002015-08-19T23:49:49.936+02:00I would stitch the eyes and nose. Couldn't you draw lines on the chart every tenth? Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07187502290685197741noreply@blogger.com
